I'm Taryn. A thirty-something work from home mom in south-central Wisconsin. My husband Josh and I have four kids-Tenlee, Oaklyn, Quinn and Kohen. They are my pride and joy, and also the reason I lose my SHIT! I'm a Mt Dew chugging, country girl. I love the smell of a cozy candle. Sweatshirts and shorts are my jam. I love to cook and bake, but I don't like dishes. Homemade chex mix, is my fav! I have an Amazon problem, just like you. My house is organized chaos, as we survive and advance each day. You'll rarely see my hair down-the messy bun with a headband or sunglasses is how you will see me 99% of the time.
I own and run my own photography business, photographing all life's special moments. While I stay plenty busy with running four kids, and my nights and weekends photography sessions, I felt like adding one more thing to my plate was logical. Photography is still my passion, but I needed something more.
Remember 2020? Yeah...I try to forget too. That big ole bad C word. Well, it took one of my best friends, my Aunt Kim. Everyone knew her as "Auntie Kim" but to me, she was the closest thing I had to having a big sister. I never thought I'd live a life without her in it, and it has opened my eyes and made me realize how extremely short life can be. I'll never understand why she had to leave us so soon...but she's my reason. She's the reason I started this brand. It's actually namedĀ in honor of her. She was a hair stylist, and she had a salon named "Avante Studios". At the time, I never knew what it meant; I faintly remember the writing on the glass doors that opened to her chair...but everytime I see it, I feel her doors open time and time again. I googled the meaning and it said "to move forward". It was the exact sign I needed. InĀ that moment, I knew what my new business venture would be named. But not only that, it was a sign for me to do just that, move forward. I guess I could say it brought me a sense of closure, but even more so...it made me want to do more, be more and give more.
That's what has brought me here. I believe she is guiding me every step of the way. So here I am...out here doing this for her, for my kids....and for me! This is a little out of my comfort zone, but I refuse to let that stop me. Follow along on my journey, I promise to make you laugh with the bloopers, cry with the grief, and smile with the fun new products we have to offer! Help me be another success story, and make her proud.
